What is on offer?

Interest Free Loans of up to £10,000 for heat generating renewables systems such as heat pumps and up to £2,500 for solar PV is available to borrow interest free over a time period agreed by the homeowner. This is an excellent way to spread the upfront cost of investing in a renewable technology.

Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive - launched in April 2014, this scheme offers a 7 year grant to homeowners who purchase a renewable heating system for their property ie. heat pump, solar thermal or biomass. The grant is calculated by Ofgem on information taken from the Energy Performance Certificate of the property.

Electricity generating technologies – Feed in Tariff scheme continues to reward homeowners for 20 years on application to their electricity provider for a Feed in Tariff contract following the installation of a solar photovoltaic (PV) system.  The government is forecast to introduce drastic FIT reductions from January 2016.
